Easy Peasy Apple Cider (crockpot recipe)

The fall feels are in full swing in our home! The decorations are up and it actually snowed today. It’s safe to say that the warm weather is gone until next year.

When I think of fall I think of fall scents, apples, cinnamon, and a warm cozy home. This apple cider recipe accomplishes all of that and more. Even better, it can be made in your crockpot! Easy peasy!

Ingredients:
2 quarts of apple juice
1 orange sliced
1 teaspoon whole allspice
4 cinnamon sticks (3 inches each)
1/2 cup brown sugar

Directions:
1. Place cinnamon sticks and allspice in a coffee filter, tie it off with a string so it can’t escape. (I didn’t use the string or coffee filter and it still turned out great, it’s just easier to serve without allspice floating around in it!)
2. Place apple juice and brown sugar in a crockpot. Stir until the brown sugar is dissolved.
3. Place the bag of cinnamon and spices in the juice and lay the orange slices on top
4. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours. Discard spice bag and serve hot!
